Check out the Citroen Metropolis Concept, which is a very large luxury saloon vehicle. The Metropolis is bigger than a long-wheelbase S-class, a A8 L at 5.3m long, and as wide as a Maybach 62, at two metres. It’s the first car to be styled and developed by the PSA Group’s Shanghai design studio and it completely builds on the themes established by the Hypnos concept, using a full-width Citroën double chevron in the grille, the same upright intakes ahead of the front wheels and even near-identical door mirrors. The complex turbine-style wheels are 21-inchers, with 265/35 tyres. Read the rest of this entry »

Not the real deal, but definitely something Bugatti should be looking into. It’s the Bugatti Renaissance Concept car by Canadian designer John Mark Vicente. “These projects are personal reflections of my understanding of design as an art, science, and philosophy,” Vicente graduated from Emily Carr University of Art and Design in Vancouver and drew this Bugatti concept vehicle as part of his course work.
Can you just imagine the horsepower that would be behind this vehicle? It’s already sad enough the Bugatti Veyron has 420 on the dash!

This GMC Granite Concept car comes in a little style! Equipped with some suicide doors, this Granite is powered from a 1.4L turbocharged engine, which is part of GM’s new family of small-displacement, highly efficient four-cylinder engines. It also has a six-speed transmission that uses dual-clutch technology for performance and smoothness.
“Combining a decidedly urban-industrial design aesthetic with functionality aimed at young professionals, the GMC Granite concept takes the brand’s trademark capability in a new, more progressive direction. It was introduced at the 2010 North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
If brought to market, the Granite would be the smallest GMC ever – but has been optimized to feel much larger. Its length is a full 2 feet (0.6 m) shorter than the new Terrain compact crossover, but its open interior was designed to be spacious and flexible to fit the needs of active people. Generous cargo space and unique flipping/folding seats, for example, enable a mountain bike to be loaded completely inside with the tailgate closed.
“Granite was conceived as a new type of vehicle from GMC – one that could stretch people’s ideas of what a GMC can be,†said Lisa Hutchinson, product marketing director for GMC. “We call it an ‘urban utility vehicle’ and our goal was redefining what the GMC name could mean to a new generation of customers looking for both bold design and functionality.â€

The Audi e-tron electric concept car looks quite hot in this orange paint job and comes with some unique features that any other concept car couldn’t match to!
Frankfurt – Audi presents the highlight of the IAA 2009: the e-tron, a high-performance sports car with a purely electric drive system. Four motors – two each at the front and rear axles – drive the wheels, making the concept car a true quattro. Producing 230 kW (313 hp) and 4,500 Nm (3,319.03 lb-ft) of torque, the two-seater accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h (0 – 62.14 mph) in 4.8 seconds, and from 60 to 120 km/h (37.28 – 74.56 mph) in 4.1 seconds. The P70t Conch concept car comes from wanting to make a public vehicle for the urban environment and used as an urban mode transportation.
Don’t know how this car was designed to be used as a group sharing vehicle. This thing is way to small to be sharing room!

Check out the Aston Martin Agora Concept Vehicle! I’ve never seen a concept car designed up like this one. Designed to fit the future of 2025. ‘A design team, lead by Himanshu Bhardwaj, had the intention of designing an Aston Martin concept that allowed the driver to have a genuine interaction with the world they drive in.
The work on this car is very impressive. It has a transparent roof just for the rain and to get out the car both the pillars detaches and slides on top of the hood.

‘We thought about a car that reflects in this future where the search for interaction and knowledge of world cultures is a priority of an individual. An open car that allows one to interact and accommodate the outside world.
